You're probably seeing many schools have lowered the bar and teachers are leaving in hordes... That's not helping our kids. What we do allows a child to recognize and use their talents so that as the world changes they're always prepared.

We've had parents come to us because their kids were struggling with reading, parents who feel school is just not for them, parents who say I'm just a little overwhelmed and I could use some guidance.

We are a home education program designed to unlock children’s potential, empower them to read at a young age and elevate their learning experience to new heights!

Who We Are

UnlockED got its start in Florida in 2022 by Drake Pearson. He decided to do things differently by creating a program that uses technology to help children learn how to read and enhance their early education experience. 

Did you know that kindergarten readiness is a strong predictor for 1st-grade ability? It can also have effects lasting into 4th grade! That’s why we emphasize the importance of preparing children before kindergarten.


Our goal is to support children to reach their fullest potential in life and by giving them the ability to skillfully read we give them a strong foundation for independence, creativity, and confidence in themselves. Letter From The Founder

Hi, I'm Drake. I've been in the education space for most of my life. My family has owned childcare centers for over 31 years. I've worked in childcare, for a few education companies and as a private tutor for many years. I didn't just work in education I did extensive research and tested things out to find what works and what's best.

As an educator and a parent, I know firsthand the challenges many parents face when it comes to their children’s education and the struggles of many students trying to fit into an education system that doesn’t actually educate them. [According to the nation's report card children’s abilities to read or do math is on the decline and has been that way for a while.] Currently, it is twice as likely that your child will not learn rather than learn what they’re supposed to at school. And school doesn’t even teach you everything you need to know for life!

I saw that there was a gap between what our children need and what they're getting very early on and now just about everyone can see that to some degree. When I talk with parents, some say that's just how the system goes and they keep going along with it but there are those that don't want to leave it up to chance whether their child learns or not. These are the parents that actually care, they actually want the best for their children and they're looking for a better way. These parents deserve the best and now we have that.

I was lucky enough to come across a unique method that works with how a child learns and how the brain works vs. focusing on trying to “teach” them. It’s the difference between feeding a hungry child, who wants to try new foods and can enjoy them vs. trying to get a child to eat food that’s good for them but they’re not open to it, in fact, their lips are shut tight! This was groundbreaking and no one else was doing this.

I started using this method with my students, friends and family for a few years before releasing it to the public because I wanted to make sure it worked. The results I found were astounding! We succeeded in getting 2-year-olds to recognize all upper and lowercase letters and numbers (around 51% of 5-year-olds can’t do this in the state of Florida). We have 3-year-olds reading at a first-grade level, by the time they are 6 they’re reading at a high-school level and able to do math in their heads that would stump most adults! We saw their confidence soar because they knew how to read! 

Contrast that with most children today struggling to read by 4th grade. Unfortunately, we know that if a child is struggling at 4th grade they are likely to have persistent challenges into adulthood with basic things - not to mention the hit to their self-esteem. 

Personally, I don’t want my kids to struggle unnecessarily - I don’t want any kids to struggle unnecessarily! Here’s one place where we can make a major difference in our children’s lives and it’s a huge one because our education affects everything in our lives, our ability to solve problems, the money we make, even the people we hang out with, literally everything!

I’m so excited to share this tool with the world and invite you to be a part of this educational renaissance! We’re going to do amazing things for the next generation.
